Dar es Salaam ,Algeria. Despite his recent impressive 7-0 win over Taifa Stars of Tanzania, the Algerian team manager Christian Gourcuff is reported to be considering his future with the Desert Foxes.
This follows the team's poor performance in preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers as well as the 2-2 shock draw with Taifa Stars in Dar es Salaam.
Gourcuff led his side to dent Taifa Stars' hopes to the Group stages of the Russia 2018 World Cup finals after demolishing them by 7-0 at Mustapha Tchacker Stadium in Blida, Algeria.
The sources said that after his remarkable win over Charles Boniface Mkwasa's boys, the French has returned to France and is reportedly considering resigning from the Desert Foxes managerial oosition.
The 60-year-old has been under intense scrutiny from the media in recent months, and the former Lorient manager openly admitted to reporters that he has been thinking about his position since last month before playing Taifa Stars in their first and second leg ties.
The Desert Foxes, ranked 26th in Fifa rankings, forced a 2-2 draw against 135th placed Taifa Stars at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam in the first leg of the qualifiers before they triumphed 7-0 in the second leg.
