Algiers — A high-level consultative meeting of the members of the monitoring Committee of the agreement for peace and reconciliation in Mali, stemmed from Algiers Process, will be held Monday in Algiers to evaluate the implementation process of this agreement, at the initiative of Algeria, ensuring the chairmanship of this body and leader of the international mediation.

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra invited to this meeting the representatives of three signatory parties (Government, Coordination of Azawad Movements (CMA) and Algiers' Platform) and all the members of the mediation namely Niger, Mauritania, Bourkina Faso, Chad, Nigeria, France, United States of America, UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali, African Union Mission for Mali and the Sahel (MINUSMA), The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), European Union (EU) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), said Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The representatives of three other permanent members of UN Security Council (China, Russia, UK) as well as from Canada, currently leader of Technical and Financial Partners of Mali (PTF), were also invited to participate in this meeting, as it's provided for in the agreement, said the source.

A formal meeting of the mediation team will be held Monday morning to "examine the progress as well as the difficulties faced while implementing the agreement."
